Why shouldn't I host my Web
site with a company that offers free domain registration ?
Some hosting companies offer free domain registration while you
host your Web site with their company. Then, if you decide to move
your Web site to another host, you cannot take your domain
name with you because the hosting company is the real owner of the
domain name. We do not offer free domain registration because we
want our customers to always have the option to go to another
hosting company and to take their domain name with them. You
will own your domain name .
How do I register a
domain name and sign up for hosting at the same time?
If you would like to register your domain name and sign up for
hosting at the same time, just go to our
order online.
You will be given an opportunity to purchase a new domain in the
ordering process (if the domain name is available). Once finished,
your hosting account will be setup and your domain name will be
registered right away. You will receive a welcome email from us with
all the information you need to get started within 6 hours of
signing up. Your domain name will take about 24 hours to 'propagate'
throughout the internet and be usable. In the meantime you can
publish your site using the information that you receive in the
"account details" email.
What is a domain name ?
A domain name is the address for your website (such as
dreamlink.net). It's how your website will be
found by your visitors. Once you register a domain name, it can only be used by
you (domain name administrator) during
the period for which you reserve it (usually a year or more).
Domain name registration does not create a website accounts for you
!.
For that, you need a web host (such as dreamlink.Net).

transfer your existing domain. And if you have any problems at all with your

to get started within few minutes of signing up. It's that easy!
We welcome clients whether they are
registering a new domain or transferring an existing domain
from elsewhere. As long as you own your domain, you can transfer it to Dreamlink.Net. We accept

To use your existing Domain Name with Dreamlink.Net, your domain name
must be "transferred"

register it. Dreamlink can register your domain name for you.

How to transfer my domain name
to Dreamlink.Net ?
It's easy ...
1) If you want register your domain through us (we can register your domain
name for only $8.95 year), you do not
need to make other changes. We'll automatically apply
correct DNS to your domain name and your domain name will start to work with
your hosting account in 24 hours or less .
If you want register your domain through us simply
order now an hosting
account and enter your
preferred domain name. If your new domain name is not available you'll be
invited to enter/search another domain name.

Does Dreamlink Hosting
support third level domains (myname.yourdomain.com) ?
Yes. We can point any sub domain to a directory under your main
account so you only have to edit one account. The only restriction
is that you have the main domain name (ie yourdomain.com) with us
and the sub domain has to be in the form of:
something.yourdomain.com.
How can I check information associated with my domain name,
such as my contact details?
You can use
the superWHOIS tool available on this site.
How can I find out if a domain name has been
taken?
Simply use the form situated on this
page. Fill in the complete name you want to check and
select the extension such as ".com", ".net" and so on. The
form will either return the name of the company or individual
owning the domain name, or an indication that the domain name
has not yet been taken.
I don’t remember who my Domain Name Registrar is. What
can I do ?
Use Dreamlink's domain name search tool available
superWHOIS . Enter your domain name and search for the Registrar.
My Domain Registrar requires that I go online to
transfer my domain. What information do I need to give them to successfully
transfer my domain name to Dreamlink ?

My domain is about to
expire. How do I renew it ?
When your domain name registration approaches its expiration,
you will receive an email notification.
You can easily renew your domain name registration
here.
I changed my mind about the domain name that I
registered. Is it too late to change it ?
Once you register a domain name, you cannot "un-register" it. If you
find that the domain name you choose no longer suits your business
or personal needs, you should register another domain name. The
domain name you originally registered will continue to be registered
to you until the end of the registration period. Registration and
Domain Registration renewal fees are non-refundable.
How do I change DNS & other information on my
domain name ?
If you registered your domain with Dreamlink when you signed up for
hosting, please

Otherwise you will need to modify your information at your current
registrar.
What does it mean to transfer your domain ?
When you transfer your domain you are just pointing it to our
servers. This means when someone types your domain name in their
browser it will go to your Web site on our servers. In order to
transfer your domain you must go to the registrar where you
purchased your domain name and have them update your records. We
will gladly help you handle your domain transfer. Please read this
