How long has Dreamlink been in
business? Dreamlink was formed officially in early 1998, which means we've
been around for over 8 years. Over the years we've built up quite a
reputation for our dedication to our customers and our custom-made
hosting features.
How much will I be billed upon signup?
Upon signup, you will be charged for your first contract period. For
example, if you sign up for a six month plan, you will be charged
six times the monthly rate for that plan (the six-month discount
monthly rate, to be more specific). Our order form will calculate
the amount of your first invoice before you submit your order, so
that you can make sure you know exactly what you will be charged.
How do I place an order ? You place an order by simply going through our online process. Once the payment has been approved, the setup process takes
few days. The server will then go to an online status and you
will receive an email notification with your IPs and login
details.
You can then login to the server and begin setting it up.
Can I pay for my server using my PayPal account or via bank wire ? We accept Paypal and Wire Transfers. If you want pay using these ways
please contact our Sales Dept.
If I cancel my server do I get a refund ? We do not issue refunds for prepaid services. If you wish to cancel your
server you will need to do so ten (10) days before your next billing cycle.
Can I send you hardware to add to my server ? We do not allow customers to add their own hardware.
Can I purchase ram or a hard drive and have you install it in the
server ? No, all hardware components of our rented servers must be property of Dreamlink.
You will need to rent the hardware from Dreamlink and we will install it.

Are your servers fully managed ? If you are referring to OS and security updates, the answer is yes. All
Dreamlink servers are fully managed. This includes network IDS, OS updates,
security updates, monitoring, and more.
What do you mean by free upgrades and patches ?
We automatically install any upgrades and patches to your Operating System
unless you opt-out.
Do you have 24/7/365 support ? Yes, we have NOC personnel onsite 24/7/365 for reboots and assistance with your
servers.
What is the preferred method of support ? Our online
support portal is
the best method of support. It is designed to authenticate verified users and
define privileges.
Can I have more than one server and create my own
backend network ? Yes, you can connect more than one server. You can connect two
servers with a cross connect cable or you can connect multiple
servers with a switch.
How much is a switch ? An 8 port switch is $35 per month. You must rent the switch from us; you cannot
send us your own switch.
How is my monthly bandwidth calculated ? Bandwidth is calculated by totaling both your inbound and outbound traffic
together for the entire month.
What methods of payment do you accept ?
Dreamlink accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover ; we accept
also Wire
Transfers and Paypal.

What is your cancellation policy ?
In order to cancel a server you need to log into your Dreamlink control
center and click the "Cancel Server" link . We will cancel your server in 7 days
from when we receive the request.
Why a dedicated server ? With a dedicated server, 100% of the server's resources are
dedicated to serving your site or application. Your website
(or websites) may need a dedicated server if it is receiving a
high amount of resource-intensive traffic.
How soon will I be up and running ? Dreamlink can have most server configurations up and running
in just a few days. If you have more urgent needs, please let
us know.
Will I have root access ? Yes , you'll have root access.
Can I upgrade the hard drives in my server ?
Yes. You can upgrade your hard drives .
Can I upgrade the memory in my server ?
Yes. You can upgrade memory .

Which are your bandwidth providers and connections ? Dreamlink's servers are connected to an extremely powerful and fully redundant
network (no single point of failure). Our network has over 20 GB/s of available
bandwidth from Tier 1 transit providers.

Is there a guarantee on hardware components ?
Yes. In the event of a hardware-related problem, we'll
immediately replace any failed component. We'll make
every attempt to correct the problem as soon as possible. You
will be notified by e-mail once the problem is resolved.

Will Dreamlink monitor my server ?
We use a ping monitoring system to ensure the servers
are responding. In the event that a server does not respond
our technicians are paged and will address the issue.
What is your policy on bandwidth ?
We do not cap or restrict your bandwidth. Your traffic can
burst to as much as the server requires. There is an overage
rate ($1.50/GB) if you exceed the allotment.
Can I create
email accounts on my server ?
You can create as many email accounts as you like.
What security measures are taken at Dreamlink ?
Dreamlink takes security very seriously. Every precaution
is taken to ensure that absolutely no one has access to your
server other than our technical staff.
Do you offer Technical Support ?
Technical support is limited to the functioning of
the server and the proper installation of the included
software on the server.

How do I reboot my server ? Simply open a ticket support or open your Dreamlink Center .
Can I resell the space on my server ? Yes you can resell the space on your server. It is your server to use as you wish.
Do you allow adult content ?
Only legal adult content is permitted on the dedicated
server network.Dreamlink Web Hosting will provide notification and
will inform any customers in writing of improper materials on our
servers. Dreamlink Web Hosting reserves the right to disconnect any
customers immediately.
Do you allow IRC ? High-risk services, which are services which tend to attract
denial of service attacks, are strictly prohibited. This includes,
but is not limited to, IRC related services and selling of shell
accounts. Dreamlink Web Hosting does not allow the use of IRC on the
Dreamlink Web Hosting network. This includes, but is not limited to,
the use of IRC clients, server software, bots or anything related to
IRC. Violators' servers will be immediately suspended.

Do you allow SPAM ? Dreamlink Web Hosting takes a
zero tolerance approach
to the sending of Unsolicited Commercial E-mail (UCE) or SPAM over
our network. Very simply, this means that customers of Dreamlink Web
Hosting may not use or permit others to use our network to transact
in UCE. Customers of Dreamlink Web Hosting may not host, or permit
hosting of, sites or information that is advertised by UCE from
other networks. Violations of this policy carry severe penalties,
including termination of service.
Will you send me spam ? Do you
have a privacy policy ? No. We spend countless hours combating spam. It doesn't make much
sense for us to turn around and send unsolicited mail ourselves. Our privacy policy can be found
